Learn about Paly VEX's identity, supporters, values, and mission

VEX Robotics is a global robotics competition and manufacturer designed to inspire young innovators to lead the way toward future solutions. They provide the materials, software, and worldwide competitions for educators and students to enter the world of robotics and STEM. There are different tiers of VEX Robotics, such as VEX IQ and VEXpro, which vary in materials, challenges, and complexity. Team 4008 competes in VEX EDR, which is a middle-tiered robotics system that emphasizes versatile yet simple STEM innovation. Learn more about VEX at their website.

What is VEX?

Team 4008 represents Palo Alto High School in VEX Robotics. Our core values include innovative thinking, strong connections, and experiential learning, and guide us throughout our robotics journey. Through VEX robotics, we strive to offer a hands-on STEAM experience to all, emphasizing key concepts such as collaboration and community.

Who are we?

We work hard to ensure innovation and success in all our projects. We have two sub-teams, which each have unique qualities and projects. While maintaining individual aspects, our teams often collaborate in order to learn and grow from each other. In each team, members work on all components of robotics (such as building, programming, and driving), though some have specific focuses they enjoy. Below are all the current team members.

Several of our members have graduated from high school and continue their outstanding work elsewhere. Team 4008 congratulates them on their achievements and wishes them all the best in whichever path they pursue. Their hard work, mentorship, and contributions have been an amazing addition to the team, and we're sad to see them go. Stay in touch!

Alum

Prashanti Anderson

2019

Prashanti was Paly Robotics' VEX team captain and has since graduated Paly. She started robotics in 7th grade and has been on three different VEX teams over the course of 4 years. She was also part of Paly’s FRC team and worked on software for FRC.

Paly VEX Robotics would not be possible without the support of several outstanding community members. We thank them for all their work!
